All fees shown in US Dollars and are exclusive of taxes.
James’s company, Learning Pit, is a UK-company and therefore does not charge sales tax to organizations in the USA or Canada.
James does, however, have connections with a LLC in the USA that can provide a W9 if it is needed.
James designs every PD activity to suit your context and aims. He has no pre-set programs. You tell him what you want and he will create something matched exactly to your needs.
COSTS for On-Site PD
Professional Fees
Contracting for 1 day: $9000
Contracting for 2 days: $7000 per day (or $6000 per day if consecutive days)
Contracting for 3 or more days: $6000 per day (or $5000 per day if consecutive days)
Full week (can include keynotes, model lessons, staff coaching, parent presentations, etc): $18,750
Expenses
When traveling from the UK: $3000 for day 1; $400 per day thereafter
When traveling from the USA: $1000 for day 1; $400 per day thereafter
Notes
You are welcome to invite your neighbors to join your event and share costs.
You are also welcome to buddy up with neighbors to create multi-day contracts. If, for example, three districts team up to host James for 3 consecutive days then the fees would be $5000 per district.
If your event aligns with a date that James is already in the USA or Canada (see list here) then you will be asked to pay $1000 to cover domestic travel and local accommodations. If your booking necessitates international travel from his home airport of Edinburgh, UK then we ask you to pay $3000 towards his trans-Atlantic and domestic travel plus local accommodations.
When booking multiple, consecutive days, we ask you to pay the expenses mentioned in point 3 for day one. Thereafter, we ask for a budget of 400 per day to cover additional costs. For example, the expenses for a 3-day contract would be 1000 or 3000 for day one and then 400 per day for days two and three.

Annual Subscription to 70+ PD Videos
Individuals: $204.75 per person
Teams of 4+: $153.50 pp
Teams of 50+: $122.85 pp
Teams of 250+: $81.90 pp
*Schools and Districts who work in-person with James receive a 50% discount on library subscriptions.

Webinars are designed and delivered by James to suit your context. They are live events that can be recorded for future reference if you would like.
Coaching sessions are for individuals or teams, and can be split between different groups. For example, contract for 10 sessions and give everyone in your faculty an individual session each.
Building on the success of his commissioned work for the New York City Department of Education (1 million+ students) and the International Baccalaureate (5,000+ schools worldwide), James has launched a comprehensive video library for in-house PD. This collection features 70+ videos, each deconstructing a core element of pedagogy. To maximize impact, these digital resources can be paired with online coaching and live webinars led by James or for a lower fee, one of his colleagues.
